Losing a family member can be one of the most difficult and painful experiences a person will go through.  The New Life Bereavement Team extends to the family of a loved ones the care and consolation of the Lord.  Team members visit the funeral home and offer condolences on behalf of the parish.  They also are available to assist the family in planning the funeral liturgy.  The Bereavements team also provides the families with prayer support and information about grief counseling. In the fall of each year, the ministry sponsors a guest speaker trained in grief counseling to address the topic of "Coping with the Holidays".

As a parish, we celebrate an annual All Soul's Day Mass and extend special invitation to the families of those deceased in that year.

The Saint Francis Food Pantry provides a bag of food, as a supplemet, to families in need.  It is stocked by parishioners, organizations, the schools, and businesses through food or monetary donations.   Distribution of food is made twice a month (every other Tuesday & Wednesday). We have a number of volunteers that help every other week with the bagging of the food.

The Food Pantry has two outreach programs: “Adopt A Family” that  provides a customized Thanksgiving meal for families in need. And  the "Giving Tree" at Christmastime.  A Christmas tree is placed in the vestibule of the church with tags.  Parishioners, friends and visitors are encouraged to take a tag and buy a Christmas gift for a needy person whose gender and age are stated on tag. These gifts are then distributed along with food in time for Christmas. The outreach preograms are rum by volumteers.
